A Contemporary Theatre, in association with Letters Aloud, presents All Our Best, live on June 4. This timely collection of letters unveils private moments from history. These moving and sometimes humorous stories resonate with a message of perseverance and hope in times of struggle, from history-makers and people who live right next door.

These are challenging times and we have chosen to produce All Our Best with hope that the voices shared throughout the performance will inspire you and spark conversations in your own community.

Run time: approximately one hour
Location: The comfort of your home!

There are many moments during All Our Best that may capture the audience and create debate and conversation beyond the performance.
However, we are conscious that some moments can be particularly distressing for some individuals. All Our Best includes the reading aloud by actors of real letters written throughout recent history. The themes include:
  • Racism and racial slurs
  • Racial violence and hate
  • Slavery
  • Sexism and misogyny
  • Death or dying
  • Discussion of illness, including pandemic
  • Political discussion and discourse

This show is recommended for ages 15+.

We cannot anticipate what might be triggering or traumatic for each individual. We don’t create age restrictions but do our best to offer content advisories for each show. ACT believes that patrons can determine for themselves what is appropriate for their children.  We don’t create age restrictions but do our best to offer content advisories for each show.
