Special Ticket Options

If tickets are unavailable for purchase online, patrons make take advantage of our day of ticketing programs.

Standby: Standby tickets are available for some sold-out performances on the day of the show, in person, starting at 12:00pm. Standby tickets are NOT a guaranteed spot in the theatre. Patrons will be seated in a first-come-first-served basis: patrons can wait by the theatre once the lobby opens, one hour before showtime. If patrons with standby tickets do not receive a seat, they may return to the ticket office for a full refund. Standby tickets are only refundable for FIFTEEN MINUTES after the start of the show and only for UNTORN tickets.

Standing Room: Standing Room (SRO) tickets are available for some sold-out performances on the day of the show, in person, starting at 12:00pm. Patrons will be seated in the order of ticket purchase, in unused seats. If seats are unavailable patrons will remain standing for the duration of the performance. Standing Room tickets are non-refundable.

Discount Ticket Options

ACT offers a wide array of discounts for its Mainstage productions. The following discounts do not apply to ACTLab performances, Special (A Christmas Carol), or Guest Productions. Discount policies are subject to change and may depend upon availability of tickets. Only one discount or promotion per ticket. Some restrictions of proof-of-age may be required. Pay-What-You-Can : Every Sunday (all day) and Thursday matinee for Mainstage plays. PWYC is only available day of show (in person only, starting at 1:00pm) and is subject to availability. 

$20 Tuesdays:  A ticket to any Tuesday performance is just $20. Includes Previews and Regular Performances.

65 and Over:  Seniors 65 and over may purchase 25% off adult tickets for any available performance in advance.

Student / 25 and Under:  Full-time students may purchase $15 tickets to any available Mainstage production in advance. Anyone 25 and under may purchase $20 tickets for any available Mainstage production in advance. Tickets are held at the Ticket Office until valid ID is presented for each discounted ticket.

TeenTix:  We offer TeenTix members the discounted price of $5 per ticket for all Mainstage plays, and select other productions. On Sundays, you can purchase up to two (2) tickets at the $5 rate with your TeenTix card, on the day of the show, in person.

Industry Discount:  All members of Theatre Puget Sound, Theatre Communications Group, SAG, Actors Equity, as well as employees, artists, craftspeople, and members of arts organizations are eligible for $15 tickets on the day of the show. Please call the Ticket Office at 206.292.7676, ask for the industry discount, and state the name of your organization. Proof of employment is required when picking up tickets.

Group Sales

Great for employee parties, entertaining clients, friends, family and more! Groups of 10 or more can receive 10-20% savings off the regular price of tickets. ACT also offers special rates for student groups. Groups always have access to the best available seats. To ensure the best seating location, make your reservations early. We can help plan your group's entire outing, from providing information on ACT's food and beverage concessions, to directing you to other group-friendly sites of interest in the area. You can even rent a space in ACT Theatre for your group's reception.

Procedures and Criteria
1. Order a minimum of 10 tickets.
2. One contact person must place the order.
3. Use a single payment method: cash, check or credit card.
4. Payment and final count are due four weeks prior to performance date. If a performance reaches sold-out status, we will contact you to purchase or release your seats.
5. All programs and rates are subject to change.
6. A 20% deposit is due at the time of order.
7. Subject to availability. Restrictions apply. Not all performances are discounted.

Ticket Exchanges

ACT Subscribers and ACTPass Members  receive free, no hassle ticket exchange privileges that allow you to reschedule your tickets for another performance of the same show up to 24 hours in advance of your original date.

There are several ways to exchange your tickets: online via the Subscribers Only area from the Subscriptions drop-down menues above, in person during ticket office hours, by e-mail to service@acttheatre.org, by fax at 206.292.7670, or by phone at 206.292.7676.

Note: There is no fee for exchanging your tickets; however, if you reschedule into a higher-priced performance you will be asked to pay the difference.

Non-member and non-subscriber tickets are not exchangeable.

Free Replacement Tickets

If you lose your tickets or forget to bring them with you to the theatre, contact the ticket office at 206.292.7676 and we will replace them.

Unused Tickets

If you are unable to use your tickets, please consider donating them to ACT by calling the ticket office at 206.292.7676 before your scheduled show. ACT cannot guarantee that ticket donations are tax deductable and does not produce tax receipts for these donations. Please consult with your tax professional if you plan on deducting a ticket donation.
