July 20 - August 26, 2012
In the Falls Theatre and Other Spaces

A pinnacle experience from ACT's acclaimed Pinter Fortnightly series, The Pinter Festival will take over ACT for more than a month, with plays, readings, symposia, and other celebrations of the influential and outspoken British writer.  We'll mount full productions of four Pinter plays, including The Dumb Waiter, a one-act that suggests Abbot and Costello as prompted by Samuel Beckett, and Celebration, in which a dinner party in a posh restaurant goes riotously wrong (both plays will be performed back to back, separated by an intermission); No Man's Land, a profound (and slightly drunken) meditation on life, death, and what might have been; and Old Times, a consideration of such favorite Pinter themes as the unreliability of memory, necessary illusions, and the need for control.
