Workshopped at Yale, with a World Premiere at NYC's The Duplex, now Seattle's own Singer-Pianist Victor Janusz brings his acclaimed autobiographical one-man show, with thirteen monologues and thirteen songs, to the Bullitt. From being fired by his piano teacher at age 8, to an epiphany involving Mexico's patron saint, Janusz creates a vivid journey through all the places his "partnership with the piano" has taken him.

Victor Janusz (Writer/Performer)
An actor with Off-Broadway credits, including stints at LaMama, Playwrights Horizons, and New York Theatre Ensemble, Janusz studied with Barbara Coggin, Herbert Berghof (HB Studio) and with John Strassberg at the Actors Studio (1979--85). Janusz relocated to Seattle in 1986 to appear in the West Coast Premiere of Larry Kramer’s The Normal Heart. He was Artistic Director of TRIAD Ensemble, a small Equity Theatre for seven years, and was awarded a National Endowment for the Humanites grant for his adaptation of an Ibsen classic, Hedda Gabler ‘55. The play was filmed for inclusion in the National Theatre archive at Lincoln Center.
Since 1999, Janusz has been one of the Northwest’s most in-demand Singer/Pianists.Either as frontman or soloist he has headlined at the Triple Door, Tulalip Resort, the world-famous Canlis, the Space Needle and the Columbia Tower Club. He performed at the 2008 Yale University International Cabaret Conference (being selected out of a nationwide pool of auditions). An original theatrical-cabaret piece Pinkaboo! (co-created with Wade Madsen) enjoyed a one-month run at ACT, one of Seattle’s flagship theatres.
His one-person show Hands Solo: Pianoman unites his two greatest loves, the piano and the theatre.
Lori Larsen (Director)
A Seattle native, Larsen was a founding member of the renowned Empty Space Theatre acting company. She has performed leading roles on all major Northwest stages, including Seattle Rep (The Beard of Avon, Noises Off ), ACT (Other Desert Cities, Fuddy Meers, Quills), 5th Ave Theatre (My Fair Lady, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes), the Empty Space (Frozen, The Perfect Ganesh) Intiman (Paradise Lost, A Year of Magical Thinking) and the role of “Martha” in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf at Tacoma Actors Guild.
Ms. Larsen has directed five operas for Seattle Opera: Tales of Hoffman, Rigoletto, The Ballad of Baby Doe, LaBoheme, and Tosca, as well as the World Premiere of Scott Warrender’s Das Barbecu. She directed A Christmas Carol for ACT Theatre, and in 2010, the operetta Troublemaker’s Mother (featuring Leslie Law, Jadd Davis, and Victor Janusz) for Finlandia Foundation at Nordic Heritage Museum. Recipient of a 2004 Fox Fellowship, Ms. Larsen staged the World Premiere of Hands Solo: Pianoman at the Duplex Club in New York City in September, 2010, serving as dramaturg and has directed each incarnation of the production since.
