Come away with us to the Far East, and enter the world of the Ramayana - the epic story of Rama, Sita and the Demon King - as ACT celebrates the upcoming 2012 season with an event designed to transport you into another dimension. Span thousands of years in a single evening as three floors of entertainment showcase some of Seattle's hottest actors and performance groups such as Pratidhwani and Chaama Chaama dance companies. Explore the cultural riches of the Far East with dazzling dances, henna artists, scenes from the Ramayana and the exotic sounds of the tabla and sarodh. Then soar forward in time with a variety of sneak preview performances from the coming 2012 season – including ACT’s hot-ticket Pinter Fortnightly and Maggie Cassidy, Chris Jeffries’ new musical commissioned for ACT’s New Works for the American Stage – with emcee and auctioneer David Silverman.

Enjoy a delectable dinner, specialty cocktails and an open bar provided by Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes Events and Catering. Guests of the Gala can freely roam anywhere in the building, including the ACT silent auction & Wine auction in the Allen Theatre & the CHL silent auction in the Bullet Cabaret space! THIS JUST IN: Bring your dancing shoes! Nine-piece world band Cordaviva will be our after-party dance authority in the fully transformed Bullitt Cabaret, and Bollywood music will energize our newest theatre space The Eulalie Scandiuzzi Theatre (“The Lalie”). As a complement to the ACT In! Gala & Benefit, you can also celebrate our vital Central Heating Lab programming at The CHL Party.

All proceeds support ACT's artistic and educational programming.

8 p.m. Sneak preview performances from the 2012 season, a presentation of the 2011 Buster and Nancy Award and a live auction event hosted by David Silverman in the Allen Theatre

9:30 p.m. Join DJ Anshul for a Bollywood-themed after-party in the Bullitt!

For your convenience, dinner is available between 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. with a large buffet in the Rubinstein Room, to allow you to mingle with guests and explore the sights and sounds of the Ramayana. For those who prefer a 45-minute seated dinner prior to the performances and live auction, please join us for either a 6:00 pm or 7:00 pm seating in Buster's. A seating confirmation will be sent to you prior to the event.
