Running time: 90 min., no intermission

As a part of the rolling World Premiere, ACT presents a reading of Building the Wall, the newest play by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning playwright Robert Schenkkan (The Kentucky Cycle, All the Way). Building the Wall imagines a very near future where anti-immigration campaign rhetoric is turned into a disturbing reality. In a time when shocking campaign rhetoric turns into real policies, Building the Wall urgently reveals the power of theater to question who we are and where we might be going.

ACT is proud to host a reading of this riveting new work followed by a conversation with the playwright and long-time Seattlite, Robert Schenkkan, and local community leaders.

The evening concludes with a book signing with Robert Schenkkan. Elliott Bay Book Company will be on hand to sell copies of Building the Wall and other related titles.

Audience Warning: Contains harsh language and descriptions of violence.
