Enjoy a unique, one of a kind event: the fourth annual Icicle Creek Theatre Festival presents An Uncorked Conversation: New Play Festival and Wine Tasting, at ACT Theatre. Starting at 5:30 pm, enjoy wine from Leavenworth and Chelan wineries with hors d’oeuvres, followed by staged readings of two new plays: on August 23, see And When We Awoke There Was Light and Light by Laura Jacqmin (who received the 2008 Wasserstein Prize), and on August 24, the engagingly witty and romantic Pilgrims Musa and Sheri in the New World by Yussef El Guindi (winner of ACT's 2008 New Play Award). Stick around for post-play discussions with the playwrights.

Each night, the wine tasting is from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m., and the play reading starts at 7:00 p.m.

Every summer, in collaboration with ACT, Icicle Creek Theatre Festival (ICTF) invites playwrights to workshop new plays in a one-week retreat in Leavenworth. Following the retreat and public presentations, audiences are invited to give feedback directly to each playwright. Since 2006, all ICTF new plays have been produced nationally and in London. Help shape a new work and have a little fun in the process.
