Annual Fund
Each year, we raise money for general operating funds and it's the most common avenue of giving. Annual fund donations help us with our day to day needs – we could not survive without them! You can check out our donor benefits and make a gift to ACT's annual fund at any time,
Gifts of Stock
Gifts of appreciated securities (stocks) are simple and beneficial. Thank you for considering this highly effective method of supporting our theatre!
ACT's process for handling gifts of appreciated securities:
- Please notify Ben Derby of your intent to donate appreciated securities by emailing bderby@acttheatre.org or calling (206) 292-7660 ext.1002.
- Contact ACT's representative Karen Davis of McAdams Wright Ragen at (206) 493-1649 to inform them of your intent and let them know how the gift will arrive.
- Have your financial consultant note your name and any specific designation for your gift on the transfer.
- Upon receipt of the shares in good order, McAdams Wright Ragen will liquidate the securities in the most cost-effective manner for ACT.
- McAdams Wright Ragen will document the receipt and sale of the donated stock to the donor and to ACT.
- ACT will issue an acknowledgement letter to the donor.

Honorary and Memorial Giving
A gift to ACT made in tribute is the perfect way to honor a special occasion or the memory of friend or loved one. These honorary and memorial gifts receive special recognition in ACT Theatre's programs, and recipients of the honorary tributes will be personally notified of the generous gift made in their name. Planned Giving
For those looking to help ensure the continued excellence of ACT, a planned or deferred gift is a strategic way to make a big difference. Your strategic contribution, made through a bequest in your will, may support ACT's Endowment, Annual Fund, Young Playwrights Program, the Hansberry Project at ACT, or numerous other ACT programs. Endowment
In 2002, ACT launched its endowment, which is imperative to the long-term viability and fiscal health of the theatre. In 2006, with the help of a challenge grant from The Kreielsheimer Remainder Foundation, ACT's endowment doubled to nearly $2 million. With your contribution, this endowment will continue to grow, providing ACT with a strong and reliable revenue source. Please contact development@acttheatre.org for more information.
Matching Corporate Funds
Your generosity could go twice as far! If your employer offers a Matching Gift Program, your level of support could be doubled, or even tripled. It's as easy as 1 - 2 - 3:
Step 1
Contact your Human Resources Office for eligibility guidelines. Many companies will match gifts for retirees and spouses, as well.
Step 2
Obtain a Matching Gift form from your Human Resource Office. Many companies also provide the form on line in an electronic format.
Step 3
Fill out the employee portion of the form completely and mail to:
