ACT Theatre’s process for handling gifts of appreciated securities:
- Alert the ACT Development Department at (206) 292-7660, ext. 1330 of your intent to donate appreciated securities.
- Contact ACT’s representatives Lisa Price or Becky Scott at Ragen MacKenzie, (800) 456-4503, to inform them of your intent and let them know how the gift will arrive.
- Have your financial consultant note your name and any specific designation for your gift on the transfer.
- Upon receipt of the shares in good order, Ragen MacKenzie will liquidate the securities in the most cost-effective manner for ACT.
- Ragen MacKenzie will document the receipt and sale of the donated stock to the donor and to ACT.
- ACT will issue an acknowledgement letter to the donor.
